Initial experiment

Initial thoughts...
Still planning on using plants as insulation/sculpture and possibly film, I have many thoughts about the relevance and symbolic use of 12x12x12, and how it holds a structure within time. I am assessing the options of constructing and the integrity of soil cubes measuring 12x12x12. December is not a good growing season for many things. The idea of the planting of Garlic on the Winter solstice to be ready for the Summer solstice interest me (but it only interests me!!)
My latest research involves immersing myself around a country park, recording what grows and lives; I will adapt different methods of recording using drawing, film, photography and sound. An important part of the project is people’s interaction with the bio-diverse habitat and species of wild flowers, dragon flies, butterflies, moths, beetles, spiders, frogs, birds, dogs,

picnickers, and people will all be observed.

A twelve petal flower........
Houseleek is the only member of the Stonecrop Family to have 12 petals. The Houseleek plant follows the Fibonacci sequence and has star-shaped flowers are radially symmetric, with an equal number of sepals and petals.
‘It’s a strange plant, that!’.......

    1. Cultivating a year in 12 days? Your idea to incorporate plants sounded really exciting and could show in real time maybe speeded up/slowed down time? Just some thoughts...
